PRACTICAL PISTOL - 4 HOURS
(Minimum 5/Maximum 10 Students)
Course Description:
Review of fundamentals of marksmanship and firearms safety Instruction and live fire exercises including drawing and firing from the holster and all aspects of handling and manipulating a handgun.
Training Includes:

- Qualification on Pistol Standards Course

St. Louis Armed Security Annual/Semi-Annual requalifications
After Initial Arming Class, Officers are required to qualify every 6 months
Course description:
Annual/Semi-Annual firearms and use of force training as required by the Board of Police Commissioners for St. Louis City and County, Missouri.
Training Includes:
- Firearms Safety and Handling
- Fundamentals of Marksmanship Qualification

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course - 8hrs
(Minimum 5/Maximum 10 Students)
Course Description:
This is an 8 hour NRA course which covers safe gun handling, revolver and semi-auto operation and parts, shooting rules and fundamentals, and firearm maintance.
Training Includes:
- Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
- pistol parts and operation
- ammunition
- shooting fundamentals and range rules
- shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions cleaning the pistol
- and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students are provided NRA Student Information Packets and a Completion Certificate. All other necessary items will be provided by StL SharpShooter. Students are welcome to bring their own handguns and ammunition.

After Initial Arming Class, Officers are required to qualify every 6 months

SEMI-AUTO PISTOL – 3rd Wednesday (8:00am-4:00pm) AND Thursday (8:00am-4:00pm) of every month (2 day class). Doors open at 7:30am.
16 hour class - $205 – 300 rounds of Ammunition NOT INCLUDED
REVOLVER – 2nd or 4th Wednesday (8:00am-4:00pm) of every month. Doors open at 7:30am.
8 hour class - $95 – 50 rounds of ammunition INCLUDED

All officers MUST report the make, model, barrel length and serial number of the firearm he/she will utilize on duty. Inspection and approval of the firearm must be completed BEFORE carrying on duty. This registration to be provided to the Private Security Coordinator (PSC) on the date of the Initial Arming Class or Qualifications by SharpShooters Staff.
Officer may change duty weapons only AFTER the new firearm is inspected and the required information is supplied to the PSC. Qualification required prior to carry on duty.
NO LOADED FIREARMS AT THE COUNTER OR LOBBY. ALL FIREARMS MUST BE CLEAR WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING!!
