Security Officer Training and Qualification

St. Louis Armed Security Training, Qualifications, and Firearm Requirements

New security personnel will need to attend the Initial Arming Class BEFORE getting an armed license.

Officers can sign up online or in person for initial classes. 

After Initial Arming Class, Officers are required to qualify every 6 months.

**We offer one evening qualification class per week on TUES at 6:00PM**

**YOU CANNOT SHOOT TWO QUALS IN ONE DAY**

All officers MUST report the make, model, barrel length and serial number of the firearm he/she will utilize on duty. Inspection and approval of the firearm must be completed BEFORE carrying on duty. This registration must be provided to the Private Security Section (PSS) after completion of the Initial Arming Class or Qualification by SharpShooter's Staff.
Officer may change duty weapons only AFTER the new firearm is inspected and the required information is supplied to the PSS. Qualification required prior to carry on duty.
